This is a personal art, research and project website. It does not currently offer products, paid services, advertising, sponsored content or affiliate links.

Privacy

The site is intentionally designed to collect as little visitor data as possible. It uses no analytics, advertising trackers, embedded social-media widgets or third-party web fonts. The site itself does not set cookies and does not use localStorage for visitor tracking.

Hosting with GitHub Pages

This website is hosted through GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub. When a GitHub Pages site is visited, GitHub states that the visitor's IP address is logged and stored for security purposes, whether or not the visitor is signed in to GitHub.

The purpose is the secure and reliable delivery of this website. To the extent that this processing is attributable to the site operator, it is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and reliable website operation).

GitHub may process personal data in the United States and other countries. GitHub states that it participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and also uses Standard Contractual Clauses for relevant international transfers.

External links

The site contains ordinary links to external services such as GitHub, LinkedIn and YouTube. Apart from the video player described below, no content from those services is embedded on this site. Data is therefore transferred to those services only when you choose to follow an external link, subject to the destination service's own privacy practices.

Embedded video (YouTube)

The page /pieces/what-its-like/ offers one video playlist from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The player is not loaded when the page opens. It is embedded only after you actively select it, and then in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Until that click, no connection to YouTube or Google is made.

Once the player is loaded, data such as your IP address, the page address and device information is transmitted to Google and processed under Google's responsibility; Google may transfer such data to the United States and other countries. Loading the player is based on your consent expressed by that click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you prefer not to load the player, the playlist is also linked as an ordinary external link. Cookies and access to terminal equipment

No consent banner is used because the site does not intentionally store information on, or access information from, a visitor's device for analytics, advertising or similar non-essential purposes. The only third-party embed, the YouTube player under Pieces, is loaded solely on your explicit request. If that changes, this notice and the consent mechanism must be reviewed before deployment.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

For a Berlin-based controller, the competent supervisory authority is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.

Changes

This notice should be reviewed whenever hosting, analytics, embedded media, contact forms, fonts or other third-party services are added or changed.
