About the Collection¶
Status: Orientation page. It describes the public notebook and the working repository behind it.
Systems & Intelligence is a growing collection of essays, stories, logs, models, and research. The repository holds roughly 298,000 words across 302 Markdown files (the leads lane's intake files are not counted).
The site offers several ways into that collection. Some pages present measured results. Others offer a working argument, an unfinished design, or an imagined world. Each keeps its own status: being readable on the site does not turn a draft into a result. Paths, Essays, and the Chronicle provide selections; the navigation keeps the published collection accessible.

Some material is best approached beside its source code or through a specific research question. Links to pages outside the published selection lead to GitHub. This is a publishing choice about a particular text, not a ranking of the worth of unfinished work.
Simulation models — 41 READMEs¶

contains the runnable models and their instructions. The
Simulation → Theory Map explains which
questions they touch. The browser explorer is available directly on the site.
Architecture logs — 21 notes¶
The logs are now also readable on this site. Much of the sequence explores applied architecture; newer entries can also be wider journals of thought. Their original dates and scopes remain visible.
Lab tooling and scaffolds¶
lab/ holds
the machinery behind the experiments: providers, metrics, protocols, and tools.
The public results pages link back to those materials.
Repository meta¶
meta/
contains instructions for maintaining the work, claim registers, research alignment,
and the record of corrections. Selected registers are published under Research.
These documents remain available without having to introduce every reader through them.
Early book chapters¶
The earlier book/
chapters preserve an earlier way of telling the project. The published

Theory essays not on the reading path — 52¶
The full theory index reaches sketches, specialized notes, and historical material as well as the published selection. Their individual statuses matter; some preserve superseded claims with visible corrections.
Exploratory notes¶
ideas/
keeps small dated observations close to the work. The
Thinking Space is a public way into open questions. Longer
unfinished thoughts also have a home in essays and logs.
How this boundary changed¶
On 25 September 2026 the logs returned to the site, and essays, stories, and research received connected reader paths. The former rule was: “If a page is on this site, it is being offered as ready.” The boundary now distinguishes the kind and state of each text. An open question can be ready for an encounter without being settled.
Nothing about that editorial change strengthens a scientific claim. The research boundaries, recorded corrections, and experimental results keep their existing authority.
